As if four alpacas weren’t enough, we have some very exciting news to share from Lower Winsford Farm…

We’re welcoming goats!

For as long as we can remember, we have always loved pygmy goats. There is just something about their playful personalities, cheeky nature and endless curiosity that makes them impossible not to adore.

Recently, Angela and Isabelle attended a retreat where they had the opportunity to spend time with some adorable little goats. It didn’t take long for them to fall completely in love. In fact, within minutes, they were already talking about how wonderful it would be to have some at the farm.

That experience well and truly sealed the deal.

As soon as they returned home, the research began, the licence application was submitted, and before long a visit to a local breeder was arranged.

We’re delighted to say that we have now reserved four beautiful pygmy goat kids – two girls and two boys – who will be joining us at Lower Winsford Farm at the end of August.

We are incredibly excited to welcome them and can’t wait to watch them grow and settle into their new surroundings. Knowing goats, we suspect they will very quickly make themselves at home and probably get up to a little mischief along the way!

The goats will be joining our alpacas in Kathy’s Corner and will become part of the growing Lower Winsford Farm family. We’re already planning their new home and making sure everything is ready for their arrival.

One thing we’re certain about is that these little characters are going to be a huge hit with our guests. Pygmy goats are well known for their friendly and affectionate personalities, and we’re sure they’ll soon become firm favourites for cuddles, photographs and plenty of laughs.

The countdown is now officially on until the end of August, and we can’t wait to introduce everyone to our newest residents.
