Bude is one of our favourite places to visit. You can relax on the sand, walk beside the canal or explore the town. There is something for everyone to enjoy.

Things to do in Bude

Summerleaze Beach is perfect for a traditional day beside the sea. Whilst Bude Sea Pool offers a unique place for a refreshing dip. However, Crooklets Beach is another of our favourite spots.

Crooklets is a fantastic place to spend the day, with two cafés right on the beachfront. The Beach Café often has live music at weekends, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere beside the sea. Rosie’s Kitchen is also well worth a visit—Angela can highly recommend their amazing dirty fries!

The beach is great for bodyboarding too. It often has short, sharp waves that provide plenty of fun without venturing far into deep water.

Additionally, Angela does have one small piece of advice: take your glasses off first! She went into the sea wearing hers and came back out without them. Meanwhile, somewhere in the Atlantic, a fish may now have exceptionally good eyesight!

Among the many things to do in Bude, exploring the coastline with your four-legged friend is a favourite. Additionally, there are plenty of beautiful coastal walks and dog-friendly places to discover. To note, during the summer months, your four legged friends are more than welcome to enjoy the Cafés but are not allowed on Crooklets beach until the evening, but don’t worry there are plenty of other dog friendly beaches with no restrictions.

After a day of sea air and tasty food, you can return to your cosy cottage at Lower Winsford Farm. Additionally, you can slip into your private hot tub and relax beneath the Devon sky.
